Integral Wheel

Integral Wheel is a Brinell Hardness testing machine for train wheels and railway. Fully automatic Brinell test cycles up to 3000kgf with motorized turret, automatic loading, auto-focus and automatic reading. In order to make the operator’s work as easy as possible, it is equipped with a motor-driven rotating table, which can also move horizontally to load the wheel easily. By setting a fully automatic Brinell cycle (e.g. 3 tests at 120°, 4 at 90°, etc.) the motor-driven rotating table allows the tests to be carried out by programming the test points, working with the highest precision and considerably reducing the working time.
The hardness tester is suitable to be connected with robots and production lines for completely automatic process without the intervention of the operator. The hardness instrument exports results in different format (csv, txt, PDF, ..) and can communicate with QDAS, ASM, PCI and other systems.

The standard instrument version features our classic head for Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers scale hardness tests. Our customers who need to test untreated parts choose to install the Revolver head, which includes milling slots for surface preparation.

Bring the table to the front to load the sample with your lifting system. Move the stage to the back, make a Brinell test and then rotate the table to test the wheel at different angles.  Fully motorization available.

MOTORIZED TURRET

Multiples slots for different ball indenters and magnification lenses. Auto-rotating and tool switching for a completely automatic single or multi indentation measurement cycle. Bigger turret available with surface preparation tool.

AUTO-READING AND AUTO-FOCUS
 

Brinel automatic reading with autofocus
 
Automatic indentation reading through camera. To make the test just push the start button: the hardness tester will make the contact, apply the test force, switch to the objective, auto-focus, read the indent and give the result.

 

 
 
 
 

THE MILLING TOOL FOR SAMPLE SURFACE PREPARATION

This is a milling tool included as a TURRET POSITION which prepare the surface of untreated parts before the hardness test. Our special milling system leaves a mild edge, without sharp corners. The milling depth can be programmed in the software, with centesimal precision. It is possible to mill parts up to 65 HRC and small parts without any fixtures, thanks to our special clamping system.
